So my exciting news has just become a bit more of a reality. I am holding my first exhibition from Friday 2nd March for roughly 6 weeks in the Applewood Cafe in Christchurch, Dublin. As I type I have just finished framing 5 of the 6 prints and am now toying with getting postcards done. It’s a major step for me to start showing my work on a longer term basis and I am very grateful to the owner, Ciaran, for seeing potential in my work, and agreeing to display it.
The ’boutique’ collection is 6 prints of scenes around Ireland which have been taken over the past two years. It covers Dublin, Wicklow and Mayo in both colour and black and white images. To tie in with the location, the official title is simply ‘The Applewood Cafe Collection’, and prints are going to be available to buy framed or unframed from my website, www.garnettphotography.ie from Friday 2nd March onwards.
I’d put this on the long finger a bit, but unfortunately a health matter has pushed the issue somewhat, so I’ve brought it all forward. Ciaran and I are now frantically trying to get lots of stuff sorted before next Friday, but it’ll all be worth it
Wish me luck, y’all!
